My purpose and passion is to understand clients’ essential neurobiological “wiring,” and to partner with them to resolve and navigate the resulting complexities.
As a clinical psychologist in the field for 30 years serving persons with challenging histories and extraordinary resilience, my perspective has been greatly enriched and shaped through relationship with clients and dedicated colleagues. I hope that together, we can continue a rich conversation and grow in trauma competence.

Multi-dimensional experience with complex trauma
van Eys Mental Health was formed as a culmination of Dr. Patti van Eys’ more than 30 years experience as a clinical psychologist serving those whose early lives were complicated by factors that interfered with their developmental trajectories.
She learned from science, and perhaps more importantly, clients, how genetic factors, complications in utero, early maltreatment trauma, and cultural and societal issues shaped both their problematic behaviors and their incredible resilience.
